This workshop seeks to demystify the application process and is ideal for MM/DMA students, recent graduates, or adjuncts who are interested in securing a tenure-track appointment at an American college or university.

Lily Guerrero is Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of Texas at Austin. She offers career advice to young academic professionals as a Faculty Mentor for the NYU Steinhardt Faculty First-Look Fellowship Program and the Florida State University ProfessioNole Mentors Program. She has served on multiple search committees and is passionate about DEI in music and higher education. With a focus on access and belonging, Guerrero is the newly appointed Vice President of Membership for the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
